Restoring Dignity and Reviving Hope!

Horndean and Clanfield Churches Together Forum is endorsing an initiative, based on the Trussell Trust Charity in Salisbury, to provide a local Foodbank supplying household products to those in real need in our community. Locally it is being administered through the Baptist Church in Horndean who already have contacts providing them with potential bona fide recipients.

Chalton and Blendworth PCCs have signed up to this project. To that end a container will be provided on Sundays in these two churches, and one at the Church Centre into which you are invited to contribute items from time to time along the following recommended lines; Tinned Vegetables – tinned meat – tinned fish – tinned fruit – orange juice – UHT milk – sugar – tea/coffee – cereal – sauces e.g. Ragu – pasta – rice – packet mash – rice pudding. These will be made up into boxes of nutritionally balanced food and distributed to support people who are experiencing financial (and therefore) emotional crisis.

With many people struggling to supply food for their families this seems a God given opportunity to exercise our Christian duty (Matthew 25: 35-36).

~~~ Look out for the boxes in your church ~~~
