The Bishop’s Lent Appeal for 2010 is to be shared between
An Orientation Project for Refugees and Asylum Seekers
The aim is to help refugees and asylum seekers in conjunction with the Red Cross with the daunting prospect of making a new start. Also to help people develop self reliance and confidence whilst familiarising themselves with a local area, being able to access essential services and work closely with other organisations and agencies.

The Diocese of Kumasi (Ghana) Spirituality and Retreat Centre Phase 11
The Spirituality and Retreat Centre at Nkawie, in the Diocese of Kumasi, will be be the only residential centre in the Anglian Church in Ghana, providing a vital resource for lay and clergy groups from Kumasi. The Appeal in 2009 has enabled essential facilities to be provided in the modern but incomplete building. A further gift from the 2010 Appeal will enable other vital developments to move this project forward. Further information for both groups in the magazine
